First off, I'm currently 5 months pregnant, it's going to be a girl ^.^

her name will be Sophia Ngoc Funes-Pham.

So lately I haven't been on this blog like crazy I'm more on tumblr.

But I have a good-ish shock-ish news, which is me and my boyfriend is currently expecting.
Yes there is a mini person on the way =]

My due date is June 2nd, I'm glad to hear that but at the same time not so much. More of a bitter-sweet moment. The good way is that a least I'm not ill in any way, the doctor thought something is wrong with my blood or my thyroid but nope ^.^ bad part now everything has to be on hold well just traveling and growing up to take care of the baby. I will continue school through online classes with the help of advisors from BHCC. I'm also trying to find a job and put in a lot of hours to save up money for the baby. The father of the baby is basically my boyfriend, no surprise xD his family is very supportive with us... His dad offer to help baby sit and to buy us a crib... I love his family they're so nice and always asking me how I'm doing. I'm planning to move in with my bf and his family around January or February just for a couple of months to a year then save up money for an apartment. I know for a fact my mother isn't supportive which will be hard on me but oh well life goes on and I will make the best of it.

So, October and it already snowed... Now it's november so countdown begins before my birthday ^.^(11/14) I'm planning to go to the melting pot with my bff, bf, and my ex's gf (i keep stealing her xD) but so far my life has been great!

I understand how he felt juggling school, work, a relationship, and having a CAREER! I remember you told me, your mother and Hannie that you would study for the police exam and exercise for it... When I tell you it's time to study the books, you tell me you want to get in shape before studying.... then when we had that argument you told me I neglected to sit down and study that same goddam book with you, by then I knew you were bringing up stupid excuses... I had my own work to deal with baby I can't do your work too. I told you to sign up for BHCC with me but you said "no" remember? Oh I know you remember... since you're "smart" or so you say... Your mother ALWAYS ask me why didn't you follow me and go to college. You know what I'm glad you didn't... I think it was mainly my fault for mothering you way too much like buying you stuff and caring for you way too much. Oh well...

So what is the problem? That I ended up seeing another guy? Is that it? I'm still ALIVE!
I've been busy lately with well school first of all, and with the new guy I'm seeing.

First of all I passed all of my classes which is amazing with all of my procrastination. So I'm actually planning to take a few summer courses to get more credits to transfer schools. Probably math, reading, and writing... anything to make my pre-requisted finish faster.

Other than that a week ago or two there was this guy is was the president of familyradio.org [or .com] I don't really know. He said there was to be a rapture on May 21st, 2011.
Yea... still here.... great job trying to decoding it for the 2nd time but you were wrong since it's too early.

OKAY.. now other than that!
I'm seeing this new guy whom I use to work with at CPK, we went on a date before it was fun. Watched hall pass, ate pinkberry together. I still remember it clearly. Things are going easy, no intimacy. I want a REAL relationship this time, not the hook ups that last for like 2 years and go down hill. Trust me I've been throughout many to know what I really want right now. But yes I'm seeing a new guy and I don't regret my decision to do so. 
The both of us used to work at CPK, I quit for my very own reason. He quit for a much better job which is great since he works around the evening and gets home by night to see me. We've went out a bunch of time since we started seeing each other, eating at restaurants and I don't have to pay. It felt weird because I'm usually the one paying but nice change I guess. We argue together about who's paying and he always wins since he tickles me or picks me up.


So things have been going well I'm planning to continue my work out at the gym during the summer, and finding a job OR work at the nail salon since my mom's boss gave me a job offer which is great. Of course getting back to my youtube channel and well living a great life.

Care Package From Linda =]

So I walked out the door and ALWAYS I mean always.. I look in the mail box to see if the mailman pass by, I saw a package that was for me FROM my chi hai ^.^ and a letter for my sis lol [who cares about that part]
 --Chi hai the top left of the package it was opened, so I don't know what fell out so you tell me i took the pics of the stuff inside

There was this CUTE little note inside of the package for me =] that little orange spot is highlighted by a highlighter.

- This made my day since me and my BF was making fun of the calculator. Since it was from the U.S Air Force we made C.O.D jokes about how it can calculate the direct hit for planes and where to put the spy plane =D

Reasons to why I wear make up

You see this picture what would come to mind; flawless, natural, beauty. Truthfully through my eyes I see many flaws because I made this face to be flawless. I use make up to cover the imperfections that are needed. I would never say I'm ugly in ANYWAY; overweight - of course I would think that. But NEVER ugly, why? because I'm beautiful to the heart. I'm a loving girlfriend, friend, daughter, and sister and nothing will EVER put me down on that. Sure people call me fat, I become moody and sad but you know what I get over it in a snap. But to go on about my make up... Well it's flawless. I'm perfect it to make it PERFECT to my liking. I only wear make up once in a blue moon because well, I don't have to impress ANYONE. But the days I do wear make up, it's to feel like a new person, a bit more confident. Truthfully I hate make up. The tackiness, the mess, the colors. It's hard to keep up. But I do things to make it flawless. One tip is to spray a mist of water on your face then dab with a sponge to give the airbrush look. Why buy airbrush machine when you can do it the dinosaur way! I don't like how vibrant the lipsticks are so I still use lipstick but I use it to tint my lips so it wont be overwhelming. I buy make up because I want it, not because I need it [Okay I lied, SOMETIMES I need it] but I have SO MUCH eyeshadow palette that aren't in use that I would just give it to anyone if I felt like it.

So my reasons? To feel confident and perfect the imperfections.

2010 Beauty Favorites - A Tag

So this is a beauty tag. Meaning I have to answer the questions that are asked. I was tagged by Linda =P

Questions:
1-Which lipstick/ lip gloss did you use most often in 2010?

I would use the sephora brand lipstick in Rouge. It's creamy and so comfortable. I love how the lipstick is very pigmented and vibrant. Especially when I was a vampire on Halloween.









2-What was your favorite eyeshadow this year?


For eyeshadow I love the colorful duo eyeshadow from the Sephora collection in shimmering peachy gold/ shimmering cool bark it's more of the natural look I love. A bit of pigment and a bit of shine. Perfect for school, holidays and date or dinner parties =]






3-What product for the complexion (foundation, blush, etc.,) did you use the most?

I used the Amazing Cosmetics concealer in medium beige, I believe it's kind of light but not really it's hard to hard the right color since i have a bit of different shades on my skin. I don't use foundation since the concealer brightens up the area of my face and make my skin look perfect enough I only would need to set it with the Clinique superbalanced powder makeup SPF15 in 02 natural. It's a dry combination for those who have oily skin. It comes with a small flatten brush which is great for on the go but other than that I use the Lancome fluffy brush for the powder.
4-Your favorite nail polish color of 2010?

I LOVE the color RED! Of course it was in style for the year =D but in my terms red is forever my favorite color. It goes great on my nails and it matches. I only use the OPI nail lacquer [I'm so asian] I grew up knowing this brand so I trust it with my instant. I also love Sally Hansen Diamond strength top coat. I love it since it doesn't chip at all. [Not a fan of her quick dry nail polishes though]




5-Which skin care product would you not give up under any circumstances?
Literally my Lancome Tonique Douceur. It smells good and it has an ingredient which is rose water. It helps the redness go down after cleansing my face with a cleanser.








6-What is your favorite personal care product?
 My Crest 3D white toothpaste and mouth wash. It actually works but it does take time for it to fully whitens. I'm planning to buy the strips soon. I find the 3D crest toothbrush is just like any other toothbrush. Just change your tooth brush every 3 months so avoid bacteria from growing. Also tongue scraper do not forget em =D

7- Your usually worn fragrance in 2010?
 

For 2010 I use the Marc Jacobs Lola Eau De Parfum Natural Spray. [That size in picture] I love the smell not to strong but vibrant. It also compliment my natural smell [the odor I already have] I love the cap to this it's so cute. It's still very full I only use it for special occasions.

8-What was your personal favorite jewelry piece?

So a few months ago I bought this sterling silver necklace over ebay and I turned out to be in love with the brand. it's so nice you can just buy other charms and switch it around. It would also cause an attraction to many other people when they see my necklace and ask where did I buy the necklace. Well it's from Thomas Sabo charm. The charm is a wing and a dog tag with an imprint of the wing on it.

9-What have you discovered in 2010 that is new for you (new products, inspirations, blogs, hobbies, etc.,)?

In 2010 the new thing's I've discover is that I'm good with hair, still an amateur on makeup [but I have the right mind set to make people not look like a clown] , want to start my own website, wants to try different things and HAVE more skills to work on. I also love blogging in 2010 I began to blog more and more. Foudn someone to look up to but she was a fake all along.

10- Do you have resolutions for 2011? If so, what are they?

For 2011, cut soda out, lose weight, gain confident, blog more, learn more skills in makeup, start a website.

--Had a chat with my god-sister Thu and while watching Bridal Plasty I find myself amusing--

• I am amazed by sharks and want to swim with them BUT I'm scared of them.

• I would like to travel by any transportation BUT I'm scared of any type of boat [even a yacht]
• I'm intrigued by plastic surgery and ALWAYS wanted one BUT I look perfect enough
• I'm a manicurist and I'm good at the job BUT I hate being one
• I like make up BUT I hate wearing it
• I LOVE playing Black Ops BUT it get me dizzy, queazy, and I'm bored easily [BUT I love playing in Nuke Town >=D]
• I like to listen to Glee Songs/Covers BUT I hate their concept in the shows.

So yea pretty much it.. I have weird interests. =]

My New Year resolution

My new year resolution wasn't fun to think about you see it took alt of hard thinking ya know why because there are a lot of things to look through there for these are my resolution;

1) cut soda from my life
2) lose weight/hit the gym
3) no more making new friends
4) study hard in school
5) work well and hard at work
6) stop my shopping problem
7) stay true to REAL friends
8) get good on black ops and other fps games
9) make peace with my dad
10) be happy as can be

Yes I know there are 10 resolution and I'm determine to get them! Don't come and tell me I'm fine the way I look or whatever because I want to make myself happy. No more new friends because I have a problem with trust and I am not ready to be fucked over by idiots who do not understand what friendship mean. And stop my shopping problem because I buy stuff to fill a void that can NEVER be filled. 

Other than that Happy New Year 2011 everyone have the best year of your life. And no 2012 won't happen just a conspiracy.

I look effin hilarious

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE! =]

 This morning i was just doing a daily things.. or weekly... whatever... but yea lately my face has been SUPER oily and dry since Christmas was over and I had money I spent it =] YEP! I spent it on face masks, face scrub, and cotton pad [really was in need of them]. The face masks i bought from Forever 21 in Copley on Newbury street. I had a gift card from Ann as a christmas present. In the picture I'm using the green tea face mask =] green tea is good for your skin naturally. Why? Well....

- Green tea is naturally rich in antioxidant that will diminish weeks of dirt and grime + oil from your face. because we live in a no-so-great environment [hint hint] for example: smoking, sunlight, pollution. You would need something to just diminish it so yea you can have a healthy face not a face full of harsh chemicals. It's an organic product to put on your face for a bit to relax. [I wasn't relax my boyfriend persuade me to play COD: Black ops... So I was amped the whole time =P] 

~Note: I do not wear makeup -.-" but I've been stressing a lot and haven't been taking good care of my skin so I needed the mask.

Anyways BEFORE using the mask I use the St. Ives Apricot scrub. It's a face scrub that has exfoliating bead in them to break down and prevent blemishes and blackheads. It's an oil free product and it's perfectly alright with the skin. Although you would think "But it'll dry out my skin" - No it does not =] it feels like it but it has moisturizer in the scrub.  The beads feels harsh but trust me it's for exfoliating your skin =] Now you don't want dead skin on your face to clog your pores right =] 

So After the scrub I used to Biore pore strips. I cannot be too careful on just depending on the scrubs. I need a little more help on cleaning the pores out. I had to put it on until it has fully dry to peel off. Well i wouldn't need to tell you guys since you guys know how to use it =]

So These are the mask I bought at Forever 21. It's about $2-$3 each. I used the green tea mask [far left] and it smells terrific and relaxing [mind you i was amped during black ops] and the other two ate yogurt masks. One is strawberry and the other is kiwi. It's just to smooth your skin. I bought a separate inexpensive large foundation brush JUST for the yogurt mask. I do now want to use my other make up foundation brush with the yogurt mask.

But yea this was just a quick note on what to do =P I got bored and since i haven't been updating I should correct? =] 

 Tip: Try investing in some inexpensive blotting paper. Yes your skin will feel fine but it might get oily during the day so you want something that will get the excess oil off your face. I bought this at Forever 21 for around $3-$4. it has a mirror and everything. =] -Loo at my macbook pro!- lol!

A pleasant surprise

So I just literally woke up. I went to the bathroom then checks the mail and what do I find? A package but from who? Well durh LINDA TRAN!! <3

Such a pleasant surprise to see a package in my mail =] Made my day starting out brighter ^.^

I had to cover the address don't want anyone stalking up on me and linda ya know ;] lol So anyways I received this mini package in my mail box [how awesome!] It's like surrounded by clear tape! but hey at least it didn't fall out or else I'd be screwed =D









 So the back of the package [i tend to take pics of it] is a cute sleeping bear I think =D









I got really frustrated when I couldn't open it lol -NO I did not have nay scissors around-

So these were in the package a loving letter, 2 Rimmel london exaggerate waterproof eye definer, an earring & necklace set from forever21, silk scented paper soap, NYX - Goddess of the night lipgloss, and a white silk dress with lace in the front.

WTH happened to Sushi?

Well, thing is... I've been busy lately especially with school. Finals are coming up and I have LOTS of things to do. I've missed some homework because I was out sick. But it's reading beside I'm passing the class.

So I guess December IS my lucky month. 3 interview in one week. 1 interview on Tuesday 7th, and 2 interviews on Thursday 9th. Not only the interview went great BUT... -pause for greatest effect- I GOT THE JOB. YEP! I am hired and working for California Pizza Kitchen [CPK] in the Cambridge Side Galleria Mall. My position is a server and they are absolutely delightful. I was interviewed by 2 people. They both loved me. But there was one specific problem. My school schedule. Since training was on Monday at 4pm i wouldn't make it. The reason I was hired? Well they convinced the trainer to fix the time or move the training date to weekends for me to attend to. So she moved it to 6pm which is an hour AFTER I finish my class =) so yes I'm hired ^.^ not only that it doesn't take more then 20 minutes to get to the mall since it's SO close to the school. I simply hop on the Forest hill train to North Station [one stop] then get off hop on the green line to Lechmere get off at Lechmere Station then walk to the mall simple as that =)

But yes that's my update. I'm currently in the mist of making a few other blogs like "Sushi's College Adventure" and "Life Of Working"

Still in the mist of making it. I might start up my very own website. I don't know yet but I'm aiming for the 2 new blogs =)

Salon Review: Paradise Nails

So... Finally I'm well enough to blog about this nail place.

So me and my friend went to this nail place Paradise Nails since we had no time to wait at Miniluxe [awesome place].
The place is own by a husband and wife on a second floor apartment. I believe that the person who did my nails did a decent job. As I'm a manicurist I've noticed ALOT of flaws in the "salon":

For one the place was way to small and there were no vents to distribute CLEAN air. Therefore I became sick because of the fumes in the "salon" and the windows weren't open at all so it was just lingering in the air. Also the nail polishes weren't standing some were just laid down on it's side like it's chilling. The utensils weren't sterile so that got me on edge even more. Many should know that each customer should have individual nail filer and buffers. [For example mini luxe gives you mini ones =D] But the metal utensils weren't sterile and it made me very cautious since the person who did my nails pushed my cuticle back and it hurt more than it suppose to.

Another flaw was that the nail polish was left on my cuticle [BAD] while he was cleaning of my old polish. When he applied top coat the top coat was also on my cuticles. Although nail polishes on cuticle peels off during hot showers it's very bad. The chemicals inside the nail polish getting into your cuticle [EW!]and your cuts which will cause and infection. Even when the nail polish on the cuticle peels off that's also the reason why your polish on you nail chip off faster. Nail manicurist should ALWAYS take a bamboo stick that has a flat end with cotton on it dip into acetone [nail polish remover] and clean the polish that is on the skin. There fore the result will come to clean neat and not hazardous to clients.

The polishes, some are dry, some are ALMOST gone, and were diluted because it hasn't been use for along time. There weren't as many colors as i expected they would have. But as long as they have red it's find by me.

The price was fair. Manicure was $12 I believe. For a mani-pedi it is around $32 I believe. But it was so confusing finding the place since it's on the 2nd floor of an apartment. Not only that you have to ring the doorbell to go up. The hall ways and stair ways are very narrow so be VERY cautious especially when you're walking in heels.

My Birthday =)

Today is/was my 19th birthday =)

So... Yesterday (11/13/10) I had a mini party only 3 people came. Excluding my boyfriend. Jivani, Thu, and Rachel came. We all went to Ihop after playing Call of Duty: Black Ops. [Yes I play wanna fight about it?] After Ihop they left. Me and my boyfriend decided to rent some movies.. So we rented Scott Pilgrim VS The World, Killers, and Jonah Hex. THOSE ARE THE GREATEST MOVIE for one night with chips and dips =D

Today (11/14/10) is my REAL birthday =) Had a shitty morning but it was ALL good, Hannie [bubble butt] taught me how to drive =D then went out with phi phi for TGI Fridays. An awesome day it was ^.^ I didn't have a care in the world about people needing to be entertained or happy. [I used to plan my own parties so shit happens] Then one I got home my mom came home shortly with a cake.. White chocolate Mousse Cake.. to be exact. It's so yummy she also bought KFC =D *even more yums* then she gave me presents...

My Weekend Shopping Spree

Ann signed us up for an organic facial that was produced by the company Super by Dr. Nicholas Perricone on Friday. I must say the stuff WORKS WONDERS!!! and I PERSONALLY LOVE IT. They did a half face treatment so I can compare with the "untouched" skin I was happy my face was literally brighter than the "untouched" side.

-- So I love this product bought it with pleasure. The smell isn't all that yummers to my tummers but it's a very good product to be using. This is my birthday present from Sephora.

So After Sephora we went to Coach [fave store] I bought this really cute card holder.

It's a line off of coach call "Poppy" It's red and the designs are golden. my boyfriend said it looks like  a li xi it must mean I'm lucky to get it =) They also gave me and Ann the sample of a coach perfume. The lady was SUPER nice to us and helped us out a lot. Thanks to Ann for choosing my color because she knows me so well <3

So it was worth the price. Me and Kyo had fun hanging with Phi and Hannie.. The guys had their time and us girls had our time =)

Afterward we went to eat at the cheesecake factory so much fun I swear it's the best date we had in ALONG time. But after that we went to gamestop. While Kyo was looking at games at gamestop for me I stopped by Sephora to pick up a few more things.

Not only that but of ALL days my computer table broke so I got a new one from walmart. The game that we got was heavy rain and i pre-ordered Assasin's creed Brotherhood =)

Keep your face CLEAN!

So let's talk about cleanliness to the face to improve it to near perfection.

So lately I've been breaking out. Why? you make ask...

Old make-up proximately over a year old.

Old make-up should be thrown out between 3-6 months ESPECIALLY liquid make up and eye pencils or liquid liners

Once you open liquid from the first time you buy it bacteria will start to get into it than months later there will be a really distinct smell [really bad odor]

Only does it not HARM your face it makes you produce even more acne, red bumps, irritation, inflammation, and infections will start.

What kind of infection you make ask?

Well for one; using eye pencil, liquid liners, and liquid foundation - you will end up with an eye infection call conjunctivitis or pink - eyes. 

Another if you aren't convince; 

MRSA - Yes it can happen to ANYONE and it's infectious like a zombie apocalypse. 

Prevention to all of this; 

- Be Clean

- Always Clean your brush after EVERY use

- Wash your face or use face wipes before sleeping (DON'T EVER SLEEP WITH MAKEUP ON)

- Throw liquid make up away after 3-6 months

   ~ Liquid make up includes; Foundation, Eye liners, mascara, cream based make up products.

   ~ I would recommend that you squeeze the foundation and any other liquid make up onto your hand to use a brush instead of just putting the make up right onto your face with the brush that contacted the liquid make up. Of course the liquid liners you can use the brush.

- Powder should never be use over 1 year [even if there are left]

Products I've use to prevent:

-- So Lancome Creme Radiance [$30] and Neutrogena wave [$30]

~ I use these products either together or separate. I wash my face in the morning BEFORE applying makeup on. I would lather the Lancome Creme Radiance into my face then use the Wave to finish the rest. I works really well I'd use this method every 2 days. Afterward apply a toner.

- Lancome Tonique Radiance

~ This is the toner that I use. It's for mixed skin [oily&dry] Toner are for after after you wash your face with the face cleanser. It would take the dirt and oil that is left over that the cleanser haven't picked up.

-- Sephora Make up Face wipes [$15]

~ It's well worth the money. It's for when you come home late and are too tired to go to the bathroom and clean your face. Use this wipes to take your make up off. If you were to elave make up on all night I hope you love visitors that next morning [break outs]. Then apply toner.

- Brush Cleanser [It varies by products]

~ ALWAYS, ALWAYS clean your brushes so they are fresh for applying new makeup. Why must you clean your brushes? You don't want bacteria and oil from the day before BACK on our face right? Plus it sits there on your desk and collects the dirt and dust. Now you don't want that on your freshly cleaned face right?

Take these precaution and tips and your face will still be near to perfection =)

Even though make-ups don't have expiration date. You HAVE to throw them out even when it's expensive. I know it hurts =/ but you have to it's your health on the line. Not only that your skin will break out even more and not all of the skin care around the world could help you after.
